On Wednesday (September 24), The Rolling Stones announced that they are releasing a Super Deluxe box set of their 1976 album, Black and Blue, on November 14. The collection will feature six previously unreleased songs, including a Jagger/Richards original titled “I Love Ladies,” a cover of the Shirley & Company classic, “Shame, Shame, Shame” (which is available to stream now), and instrumental jams from sessions with guest guitarists like Jeff Beck and Harvey Mandel. The expanded release will be available in either a 5-LP vinyl set or a 4-CD box, which includes remastered audio, a Blu-ray featuring a 1976 Paris concert, a 100-page hardback book with rare photos and a new essay by Stones historian Paul Sexton, and a replica tour poster. The release commemorates the album that marked a transitional era for the Stones post-Mick Taylor, with the introduction of Ronnie Wood to the band, while bringing a blend of reggae, funk, and soul into their signature sound.
