Twin Cities Rockers “Hairball” Catch Fire and Keep Singing!

Hairball – a national rock group out of Twin Cities that covers anything from Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, and Queen – went viral after frontman Bobby Jensen’s hair caught fire during “Detroit Rock City”. The lead didn’t let that stop him! He kept singing as the flames nearly engulfed his head until crew members put out the fire. With all that aerosoled hair and close proximity to pyrotechnics on stage, Hairball had a recipe for disaster. It’s not like it’s the first time big hair and fire has been a problem! Either way, the band kept cool and the show went on without a hitch. “I live an Evil Knievel kind of life, so if I’m on fire a little bit, I don’t care, that’s just part of the fun,” singer Bobby Jensen told Ultimate Classic Rock. “I knew I was on fire right away, and that wasn’t a wig, that’s my hair. It was really nice and foofy before the show, now I have a much better Alice Cooper cut.” Check out the flare up below!
